Edy Ismail has shown interest in photography ever since he was in college. He started learning photography when he was a member of Wadah Kegiatan Mahasiswa Telefikom Fotografi at his campus. After graduation, he joined Galeri Foto Jurnalistik Antara.

Edy’s career in journalistic photography began at Jawa Pos newspaper for a year. In the last 2 years, Edy decided to be a freelance photographer and contributed to a few local or international media.
