Galih Pradipta was born in Yogyakarta in 26 Januari 1990. He graduated from a faculty of economic at the Prof. DR. Hamka University (UHAMKA) Jakarta in 2014.
He started his career as a photojournalist in Media Indonesia daily after completing a Photojournalistic workshop at the Galeri Foto Jurnalistik Antara (GFJA) in a XIX class in 2013.
Initially, as a hobby inherited from his older sibling, he then learnt photography autodidactically. In 2009, he started a university study and joined the campus’ “I-Foto” student club.

One of the exhibitions he] took part was an exhibition titled “Unfinished” which was held by the XIX class of GFJA photojournalistic workshop in 2014. He was also selected as one of the best ten nominees of the 2016 Adinegoro Award held by the Press Council.
