Hendra Eka started his career as a photojournalist at Jawa Pos newspaper in 2010. During his work there, Hendra has been assigned to report many sports events, such as the NBA basketball game in California, USA, the UEFA Euro soccer championship, Tour de France cycling competition, Formula One, 2017 SEA Games in Malaysia, and the finals of WTA tennis tournament in Singapore. In addition to that, he has also covered a 3-month overland expedition from Bangkok to India. He was awarded for his photo at Anugerah Pewarta Foto Indonesia (APFI) event. In the past, his work has also graced the walls of R.K. Burt Gallery, London. Currently, he is honing his skills in photo stories and taking a further interest in working on gender and identity issues.
