Muhammad Zaenuddin was born in Jakarta, 7 March 1995. He got to know photography during the last semester of studying in Institut Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (IISIP) Jakarta, when he joined Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Kampus Tercinta Photography Club (Kaphac32). He started his career as an independent photojournalist for Zuma Press Agency in 2019, and is currently working at Katadata.co.id. He is interested in environmental and social change issues. He has joined a few photography workshops, including Arkademy Project (2019) and XL Axiata Photojournalist Mentorship (2020). Some of his works have been featured in the exhibition Kisah-kisah Tanah Manusia, Komunitas Salihara, Jakarta (2019), Solo Photo Festival (2019), City Vs Quarantine, Lviv, Ukraine (2020), Projection Night in JIPFest photo festival, Jakarta (2021), Instagram Takeover by Bicara Foto and World Press Photo Southeast Asia Region (2021), and received Honorable Mention in the Kisah-kisah Perubahan Iklim program by environmental initiative Iklimku (2021).
