Born in Dumai, May 11 1980, Priyambodo began to work at Kompas daily in 2004. A year later, he began to work full time at Kompas daily and continues to do so until today. Throughout his career at Kompas, Priyambodo has been stationed on several desks, such as National Desk, Humanities Desk, Law and Politics Desk, and Weekly Desk. Today, he is in charge of the photographs on the Economy Desk.

Priyambodo has also received several awards, such as: Adiwarta Endownment Award in 2008 in the category of Arts and Culture; first-prize winner at Ciliwung River Photography Competition in 2008; first-prize winner at the second Shariah Economy Favorite Photograph in 2009; first-prize winner at BNI-Java Jazz Festival 2009; Most Favorite Photograph in the category of Company Responsibility PT. Pertamina EP in 2011 and second-prize winner at Senayan City Photo Competition in 2012.

More than that, Priyambodo also actively exhibits his photographs and publishes his book, such as: the book launch and exhibition of Mata Hati Kompas (2007), book cover photo of Mencari Bening Mata Air, Renungan A. Mustofa Bisri (2008), Perjalanan Politik Gus Dur (2010), photo exhibition for Indonesian Photojournalists in Jakarta “Lenggak-Lenggok Jakarta” (2011), book launch and photo exhibition Ekspedisi Cincin Api (Kompas 2012), photo exhibition of Jakarta Photojournalist Festival 2012 “Emosi Jakarta” and photo exhibition of Indonesian Photojournalists in Jakarta in 2013, “Berkacalah Jakarta”.
