Riska Munawarah, was born in Banda Aceh on 20 October 1998. She begun her career as photojournalist in 2018 in Pikiran Merdeka tabloid. Riska learned about photography since her Junior High School days from her brother who was a photojournalist at that time. She then learned more about photojournalism by
joining a campus student pers club, Sumberpost. Riska took part in photo exhibition at InSumatra Festival. Today, she is an active member of Pewarta Foto Indonesia (photojournalist association) in Aceh.
