Zulkifli was born in Kerinci and studied self-taught photography since 2009. He currently work as a documentary photographer and freelance writer. Some of his works have been published by The Guardian, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Der Farang, DestinAsian Indonesia, and National Geographic Traveler Indonesia.
