Utopia

My name is Imo.

I am 25 years old. Once a stray, I lived with my friends, looking scruffy, dirty, and never bathing. I had to struggle to find food to eat. I thought I would always be shunned by humans, but I was wrong.

I was found by a woman, an online motorcycle ojek driver. At our first meeting, she offered me a meal to eat. Without any introduction, she immediately invited me to stay in her house.

When we arrived at her home, there was a small room for me and my two fellow companions to stay. After a few days of living in her home, I began to get to know this kind-hearted woman better.

People affectionately call her Dharma. She’s incredibly caring, tending to me and my friends daily, feeding us, providing warmth, and keeping our space clean.

Whenever she’s near, it brings joy to my heart. I eagerly await her tender caresses, a gentle stroke on the head, a belly rub, or a loving hug. I often make a little ruckus on purpose because I know that’s when Dharma rushes to me, providing warm care and affectionate touch.

When she’s away, I feel an emptiness in my heart. Time seems to crawl as I await her return, not wanting to lose her. I hold Dharma dear and will stand by her side, offering protection and warmth if danger ever comes, even though I’m just a cat.
